VII INTERNATIONAL WATER-COLOR BIENNIAL 2009 – 2010 OF THE CITY OF VIÑA DEL MAR, CHILE

CONVOCATORIA

La Ilustre Municipalidad y la Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar, convocan a artistas nacionales y extranjeros a participar en la VII Bienal Internacional de Acuarela 2009 - 2010, que se exhibirá en la ciudad de Viña del Mar, Chile.

ORGANIZADORES

Organizan: Ilustre Municipalidad y Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar. Auspicia: Enjoy Casino de Viña del Mar. Colaboran: Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Chile, Casa del Arte de la Universidad de Concepción, Empresa El Mercurio S.A.P. y el Centro Cultural El Austral de Valdivia.

Comisión Organizadora: La Comisión Organizadora estará integrada por Directores de la Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar, Gerente de la institución, representantes de la Empresa Auspiciadora y por el señor Arnoldo Carvajal, curador del certamen.

PARTICIPANTES

Podrán participar en esta VII Bienal artistas nacionales e internacionales, con obras creadas después del 1º de enero de 2005 y que no hayan participado en otros concursos.

ABSTRACT

The “I. Municipalidad de Viña del Mar” and “Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar”, invites all national and foreign artists to submit works at the juried VII International Water-color Biennial 2009 – 2010 of the city of Viña del Mar, Chile.

Exhibition: Enjoy Casino Viña del Mar, Chile, November 30 to January 2011

Submitted works must have been created after January 1st, 2005 and should have not been entered in any other contest.

Each artist may enter up to two paintings. Each painting must be presented in its original form without frame or mat.

Format: Maximum: 50x70 centimeters, image size. Minimum: 50x35 centimeters, image size. Applied vertically or horizontally.

Works may be delivered at the “Corporación Cultural”, Arlegui 683, Viña del Mar, Chile, properly wrapped. If by mail, they should be sent by registered post, or courier.

For foreign artists not living in Chile there will be an entry fee of US$ 20 to cover handling and shipping expenses for the return of works and the mailing of the exhibition’s catalog.

Awards: US$2.500, 1.500 and 1.000 or its equivalent in Chilean currency.
